Their love for the golden era of rock ‘n’ roll connects them with bands like Wolfmother, The Raconteurs, and The Hellacopters, as well as direct legends like Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, MC5, and Grand Funk. Constantly on the road, WEDGE have firmly established themselves in the European live scene. The Berlin power trio, led by mastermind Kiryk Drewinski (guitar/vocals, ex-Liquid Visions, ex-The Magnificent Brotherhood), alongside Holger Grosser (drums) and David Götz (organ/bass), first saw the stage lights in 2014. Named after the first stone tool in human history, their sound is just as raw, effective, and made from solid rock. Like its archaic namesake, the band uses their WEDGE to spark fire — especially live. On stage, Kiryk’s virtuoso guitar work and Holger’s explosive drumming dominate the band’s sound, often driving it to multiple climaxes in epic jams. Meanwhile, David skillfully alternates between his thundering fuzz bass and a Leslie-powered organ.
