For more than 20 years, the 8°6 CREW has been playing on the ska, reggae and punk rock scenes of France and Europe. The soundness of its rhythm, the generosity of its brass section and the strong and true lyrics of Charly define the identity of the group. The Crew’s influences are ska of the Two-Tone of the 80s (The Specials, Madness) and the Third Wave (The Busters, Mr Review, The Toasters) and reggae of the 70s and 80s of Sly & Robbie, Toyan or Twinkle Brothers. In the last few years, 8°6 has shared the bill with The Selecters, the Skatellites, The Aggrolites, The Upsessions, Lion’s Law, Morgan Derrick, Vibronics, Angelic Upstarts, Toy Dolls, Bad Manners … in European Festivals, in halls such as “L’Usine” in Geneva or at the Marne Festival.
